The La Quinta Redevelopment Agency and City of La Quinta have recently approved a Development Agreement with LDD SilverRock, LLC (an entity of Lowe Enterprises) for private development within SilverRock Resort. The Agreement includes several components:

Feature Hotel

In approximately 2010/2011, LDD will open a 283-room, 4-star quality resort hotel, complete with a conference center, well-appointed spa/fitness facilities, fine dining, and sparkling pools; and, 127 casitas units will be located on adjacent parcels - all with stunning golf, lake, and mountain views. The resort will provide guests an exceptional SilverRock experience.

In addition, a charming, vibrant retail village will feature unique retail shops and fine restaurants, and possible second-floor office and residential space.

Although the timing is unknown, a "Black Box Theater" of about 7,000-7,500 square feet will be part of the retail village. This will be a multi-purpose theater and conference facilit.

Boutique Hotel

A 225-room, luxurious boutique hotel (located within the Arnold Palmer Classic Course) will offer exceptional amenities and personalized service. The hotel will feature unique architecture, spa/fitness facilities, pools, restaurant and lounge, and conference space. Anticipated opening is in 2009/2010.

There will also be a 55-room condominium hotel affiliated with the boutique hotel, located in a portion of the temporary clubhouse parking area. This hotel will be constructed when the permanent clubhouse is open.
